NHK福岡児童合唱団MIRAI
NHK Fukuoka Children's Choir MIRAI senior class

Hello. We are NHK Fukuoka Children's Choir MIRAl. We started the activity in 2005, when NHK Fukuoka Broadcasting Station celebrated its 75th anniversary. Our motto is ""We have songs! We have love! We have the future!""
We used to have about 150 members from 1st grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of high school and enjoyed singing happily. However, due to the pandemic, we had lost the place for practice and had to train online for about two and a half
years.
Before the pandemic, we had developed our skills through performance in Fukuoka Choral Festival and annual concerts. Since
2008, we performed in Karuizawa Choral Festival, Children's Choral Festival, the national tournament of Japan Choral Competition, Tokyo International Choir Competition. In TICC, We won the first prize in the Children's Choir category in 2018 and won the gold prize in 2019.
Besides, we were inspired by great music, performing with the foreign choirs, The Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, and NHK Symphony Orchestra. Also, we joined Hakata Dontaku Stage and held charity concerts in a hospital. We are sure our activities had been popular with local people.
We couldn't do such activities for more than two years and the number
of children decreased to only 95. We think that this competition, as the
festival for peace, will give children the goal and opportunity to interact with people around the world today. That's why we participate in this
contest with members of the senior department. We hope you’ll enjoy our performance.
