Tsurukawa Dai-ni J.H.S Chorus Club

Junichi Manabe was appointed as a music teacher at Tsurukawa Dai-ni Junior High School in Tokyo in 2005 and founded the chorus club.
Since then, the club has participated in numerous competitions every year, achieving brilliant results.
They advanced to the national competition stage in the NHK National School Music Competition for eight consecutive years (2011-2018).
In 2014 and 2015, they won first place. In 2017, they received first place with the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology Award.
In 2017, they also won first place in the All Japan Chorus Contest, thus winning two first places in two of the most prominent Japan's choral competitions.
They also won first place in the TBS Children's Music Contest in 2012 and won the Gold Prize (5th in the world) at the first Tokyo International Chorus Competition Youth Division in 2018.
Outside of competitions, they appeared on Japan's famous TV programs such as NHK's ""Kohaku Uta Gassen,"" ""Songs,"" and TBS's ""Music Day,"" to mention a few, and worked with famous artists such as Yuzu, EXILE, and many others.
They have recorded many new songs and have performed many volunteer concerts. They have also given many joint concerts with the nearby elementary school.
