Chor SONASO

Chor SONASO(合唱団そうなそ) was established by Yumi Sasaki(佐々木 優実) at Yamaguchi, Japan in April 2015. The choir's mission is to energize the choral scene in Yamaguchi and share the fascination of choral music from Yamaguchi to the world by performing a diverse repertoire of choral music. The choir won the Gold Prize in the Yamaguchi Prefectural Choral Competition for six times including three times the Contest Grand Prize, and received the Bronze Prize in the 11th and 14th Fukushima Vocal Ensemble Competition.

Yumi Sasaki

A sopranist born in Yamaguchi city, Yamaguchi prefecture. She graduated from Yamaguchi University Faculty of Humanities and Oita Junior College of Arts and Culture Department of Music. She won the first prize in the 23th Sakura Pia Competition and the 49th Oita Prefecture Music Competition Department of the Vocal Music. In 2015, she founded "Chor SONASO" and has represented the choir since then. A member of Noema Noesis, Japan Chamber Choir and "Matinee of the Five Youths". Participated in the JCA Youth Choir (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 11th), the JCA National Youth Choir 2019 (Tolosa, Spain) and the World Youth Choir 2019.

Kosei Yonezawa

Choral singer and conductor born in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. He graduated from Yamaguchi University Faculty of Medicine. He has been the conductor of "Chor SONASO" since 2015. He is the leader of Hofu Choral Society "Pirorum." A member of "Matinee of the Five Youths", Men's Vocal Ensemble "TeraOtoko", Chor OBANDES and Noema Noesis. Participated in the JCA Youth Choir (5th, 11th and 12th) and the JCA National Youth Choir 2019 (Tolosa, Spain).
