NCHU Choir

NCHU Choir was established in 1951. In the Mixed Choir Finals for the Central Region College Group of the National Student Competition of Music held in 2014 and 2022, our choir received the highest score, winning the Excellence Award. We are also pleased to mention that our choir received gold prize in both virtual category of the 4th Tokyo International Choir Competition and Taipei International Choral Competition which are being held in 2022. In the 5th Penabur International Choir Festival held in 2022, we were prized gold medal for the online competition-Mixed Youth Choir Category. Moreover, we also participated in the Michelangelo International Music Festival 2nd Online edition, receiving Silver Medal with Silver Diploma Level 2. In addition to competing, we also organized many interesting events each year, such as the Christmas party, the Welcome party and gave joint performances with other groups. NCHU Choir has a long history, and it brought up many outstanding music talents. Our goal is to share music to others and serve the society with art, and we hope to keep striving in the future.

Yili Li

Yili Li, born in Taichung City, was once the administrative manager of Taichung Artist Choir. As the conductor of Rhapsody Choir in 2019, Li has been a disciple on some popular masters, such as Ju-Feng Chu, Jonathan Velasco and Ko Matsushita. Participating in TICC 2019, Rhapsody choir won the champion of Musica Sacra, best performance of an acapella work, and the 4th rank of Grand Prix Competition. In 2022, as the conductor of NCHU Choir, Li was also granted best conductor in the 2nd Online edition of Michelangelo International Music Festival. Recognizing that there are no boundaries between all kinds of music, Li has not only been devoted to public welfare, but also tutoring choirs of elementary schools in rural areas, which gained him great reputation.
