「新老人の会」コールバンダナ&コールアミカ
”New Aged” Choir Bandana & Choir Amica
Japan
Japanese national famous doctor, Shigeaki Hinohara who kept working until the age of 105 , named the people over 75 years old as "New Aged", and founded many activity groups, such as choir, hula dance, baseball, etc. to encourage old people to be active. "Choir Bandana" was founded in 2001 in Tokyo rehearsing in the Chapel of St. Luke's Hospital, and its branch choir "Choir Amica" was founded in 2007 in Kanagawa. Among these choirs, the singers under 75 years old are called "Junior", the oldest singer today is 92 years old. When they were young, they were not allowed to sing in foreign languages due to the war, so they now really enjoy singing in Latin, German, English, etc. and appreciate the peace very much. The colors of the bandanas were the idea of Dr. Hinohara, red is a color of "passion", and blue is a color of "friendship".
