The Shanghai Philharmonic Children's Choir was founded in 2011, with its current Artistic Director being Yunmin Ye. Over the past 12 years, the choir has organized multiple solo concerts and participated in various choral events both domestically and internationally.

In 2015, they won the Gold Diploma in the Children's Choir category and the only Outstanding Performance Award at the 2nd Singapore International Choral Festival.

In 2016, they received the Silver Diploma in the Children's Choir category at the 9th World Choir Games in Sochi, Russia.

In 2017, they toured in Czech Republic and Austria.

In 2018, they won the first prize in both the Children's Choir and Folk Singing categories at the "Golden Voices of Barcelona" International Choral festival & contest in Barcelona, Spain.

In 2022, they were selected as a demonstration choir in the “Children’s Chorus Exhibition Of The Chinese Little Golden Bell For Music.”

Yunmin YE

Yunmin Ye
•Artistic Director and Conductor of Shanghai Philharmonic Choir, Shanghai Philharmonic Women’s Choir, and Shanghai Philharmonic Children’s Choir.
• Graduated in 1993 from the Vocal Music Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Professor Liu Ruo’e. Furthered studies in music theory as a graduate student at the Central Conservatory of Music in 2003. Systematically studied choral conducting under renowned Chinese conductors Hongnian Yang (Beijing) and Bai Xiao (Shanghai). Currently serves as the Executive Director and Deputy Secretary-General of the Choral Committee of the Shanghai Musicians Association.
