Taipei Municipal San-Yu Elementary School Chorus

The Sanyu Elementary School Chorus was founded in 2004 by teacher Wang, Yining, conducted by teacher Wang Yi Ning, and piano teacher Chen, Yu Yi. It was started as a school club(society) to let children's gathering and singing, and performing in the school or neighborhood festivals. Later on, the choir decided to participate in the chorus competition organized(regional) by the Taipei City Education Bureau and (natinal wide) by Ministry of Education every year. Chorous has achieved outstanding results and won the double “Gold Medal Award" in both choral competition and folk-song choral competition. The choir has had an outstanding reputation over the years and has been invited to perform at the National Concert Hall(Taipei City) three times, including the 2017 “King's Singer Concert”; the 2021 Anniversary Concert "G. Puccini: ‘The Artist's Career’"; and the 2023 “National Folk Song Joint concert of outstanding choirs” in the choral competition.
王 宜寧
Ms Wang, Yi Ning was graduated from the Department of Music of Taipei City University, majoring in vocal music. She began teaching in 1979 and has been serving at Sanyu Elementary School since 1984 as a music teacher and choir conductor.
In the past 20 years, she has been conducting San Yu Chorus in attending choral competitions. She has not only e continued to attend choral competitions and has won many prizes, but also her teaching methods are lively and have been highly recognized by students and parents.
