Established in April 2010 as a "choir for young choristers in Nara Prefecture". The members are in their teens to thirties and work energetically. Its main activities are participating in choral festivals and various competitions, and holding concerts. In the Kansai Choral Competition, they have won the gold award five times. In the Tokyo International Choral Competition, they have won the gold award four times. In the 3rd Tokyo International Choral Competition, they participated in the Grand Prix Competition in the Mixed Choir category.In February 2020, when they celebrate their 10th anniversary, they held a 10th anniversary concert at Nara Centennial Hall, where they will perform "Sights I -I am a Cat-," a work first commissioned by Naoto Aizawa, to great acclaim. Le Gland" means "acorn" in French.

上西 一郎

Mr. Ichiro Uenishi graduated from Osaka College of Music with a degree in vocal music. He studied voice under Mr. Hirokazu Yokota , conducting under Mr. Masami Matsuo and chorus directing under Mr. Hiroki Fujii. He is currently a music director of Chœur Chêne, Ensemble Termina, Le Gland, Ensemble Nisi, Nelken Chor, Chor Alyssum and Music Club of Nara women’s University.
 He has led Chœur Chêne to gold prizes 15times in the Japan National Choral Competition and winning prize 5 times in the Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest. Also he won first place in all categories at The 8th Fukushima Vocal Ensemble Competition.
