Diocesan Choral Society (DCS) is composed of alumni of Diocesan Boys’ School and Diocesan Girls’ School, and was founded by former Headmaster of Diocesan Boys’ School Mr. Gerald Archer Goodban in 1949. Now under the baton of Mr. Ronnie Kay Yen Cheng, our choristers perform internationally and locally, united by the common goal of producing exceptional choral music. A registered charity in Hong Kong, it is our mission to inspire through voice, to enlighten through music, and to lead through example.

DCS has received numerous praises and accolades throughout the years and has collaborated with world-class artists, including Andrea Bocelli in his Asia Tour “With Passione”. DCS was invited to participate in the Taipei International Choral Festival in 2016, and held a standalone concert at the National Theatre and Concert Hall in Taipei. DCS competed in the World Choir Games 2023 and captured the Championship title of the Mixed Choirs Category. DCS also participated in the opTokyo International Choir Competition in 2018 and was awarded the Grand Prix of the event, qualifying the choir for the World Choir Championship in July 2019 against other Grand Prix winners from Taipei, Rimini and Krakow.
