Introduction to Hanamizuki Mixed Choir

Founded in 2006, by the graduates of Amagasaki Municipal Tachibana Junior High School Choir in Hyogo prefecture. Currently, members from across Japan, not just Hyogo Prefecture, gather to pursue unique expression in line with Terumi SAKAI's musical philosophy.

We have participated in the 4th Tokyo International Choir Competition, and achieved 1st prize and Best Interpretation for Compulsory pieces in the Category D chamber choir, leading us to perform in the Grand Prix round. In the same year, we received lessons from composers Mr. Javier Busto and Mr. Ambrož Čopi.

Furthermore, we have won numerous gold awards in competitions such as the Kansai Choral Competition and Hyogo Prefecture Vocal Ensemble Contest. Expanding our activities, we have taken on joint concerts, performances at coming-of-age ceremonies, and charity concerts. In February 2024, we held our fourth solo concert featuring guest conductor Ko Matsushita.
