"The name Karangturi Choir was first used as the name of the choir group for the junior high school level at Karangturi School in 2005. Initially, this choir group was established to fill internal school events. In addition to the Karangturi Choir, Karangturi School also has choir groups for elementary and high school levels, each with the names Gracia Choir, established in 2008, and Melodus Choir, inaugurated in 2005 in preparation for participating in a national-level competition held by the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Over time, each group has achieved many achievements from local to international levels. Because in several national and international competitions that were participated in, singers from the three levels had to be included together, so since 2009, the name Karangturi Choir has been used as the name of the choir group when participating in various competitions. Currently, the Karangturi Choir has choir groups from kindergarten to high school levels, each of which is trained regularly in extracurricular activities at Karangturi School. For kindergarten and elementary school levels, regular practice is held once a week, while for junior high and high school levels, practice is held twice a week. To face competition events or concerts, the frequency of practice is often increased."
