Landarbaso Abesbatza was founded in 1991 as a choral group of young people between the ages of 16 and 36. Currently the association is formed by three groups and exceeds 100 members: Kontari (from 8 to 14 years old), Landarbasoko Dizdizka Taldea (from 15 to 21 years old) and Landarbaso Abesbatza (from 17 to 45 years old) Qualified experts, media and press critics consider Landarbaso a great musical reference in our country. They emphasize the youth of the group, the originality and innovation in the projects and the quality of the them. In addition to his undeniable commitment to Basque culture, recovering lost works, the choir provides new arrangements and recordings of our extraordinary musical wealth. In a clear commitment to innovation and the development of attractive and original projects, Landarbaso began a firm change in the organization, preparation and interpretation of its projects. He decided to understand the musical performance within a show that was full of surprises, where the audience was absorbed by a musical proposal that was linked and was compact. Has collaborated and / or produced 11 albums The annual production of the choir exceeds 30 concerts He has made over 70 premieres of 30 different composers. Their international participation is mainly focused on Europe, singing in more than ten countries and on two different continents: America (USA) and Asia (China and Japan). The work of training, awareness, social inclusion and solidarity collaborations reaches 2,000 people annually.

Iñaki Tolaretxipi

Iñaki Tolaretxipi

(Errenteria, 1972) Doctor of Engineering and professor at the University of the Basque Country, he has been director of Landarbaso Abesbatza since its creation. He began his trumpet studies at the “Errenteria Musical” Conservatory, achieving the title of Professor at the San Sebastián Superior Conservatory of Music under the direction of José Mari Oiartzabal. He has studied Harmony, Counterpoint, Choir Conducting and Piano in Errenteria and Donostia. He has participated in numerous vocal technique and choral conducting courses with great teachers. He has collaborated occasionally with the technical committee of the Federation of Choirs of Gipuzkoa, for which he was transcriber and editor between 1994 and 1997. He also collaborated in 1996 with the Duo Seraphin publishing house in Donostia. Jury in different choral and composition competitions. At the XXII Bela Bartok International Competition (2006), he won a prize for his expressive performance in the obligatory work “Psalm 126” by composer Orban.
