The vocal ensemble Phonodia has collaborated with orchestral ensembles and conductors such as Alexandros Myrat, Miltos Loyadis, Nikos Platyrachos, Nikos Kypourgos. ‍In 2015 and 2019, the ensemble was awarded four silver medals at the Interkultur international competitive choral festivals held in Kalamata and Perugia, respectively. In 2017, it was selected by the Ionian University in Greece as the workshop choir in the Choir Conducting Seminar with the internationally renowned choir director Doreen Rao. In 2018, the emsemble participated in the 16th International Choral Festival "Young Voices 2018" in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, where it won the second prize of the event. ‍In 2021, participating online, it was awarded the 1st prize (Grand Prix) at the IMMC International Online Competition in Russia, and the silver medal at the 3rd Tokyo International Choir Competition in Japan (Online video competition).

Ιδομενέως Ιωάννης

Ioannis IDOMENEOS

Ioannis Idomeneos studied Lyrical singing, Music Harmony, Counterpoint, Orchestration, Fugue and graduated with the respective diplomas. In 1999, he moved to Paris, until 2007. There he studied Choral Conducting and Lyrical singing & graduated in 2002 with a First Prize. His repertoire includes works from Renaissance to Baroque, Lieder, French melodies, Contemporary music, as well as work of Greek composers.He performed in concerts with Mikis Theodorakis. He was the artistic director of the Youth and Children choirs of the Municipality of Heraklion the period 2312 – 2019. From 2019, he conducts the choirs “Phonodia” and from 2009, he teaches the Αrt of singing.
