The Octtangle Male Choir is originated from the Tamkang high School established by the Presbyterian Church. In 1920, Ching-Chung Chen, known as the father of Taiwanese chorus, graduated from Doshisha University in Japan. He returned to Taiwan teaching at Tamsui Middle School(The predecessor of Tamkang High School) and established the first Taiwanese chorus in 1925, the choral tradition continues to this day. In 2005, graduates established the Alumni Choir and named it after the beautiful building of their alma mater, with the purpose of serving God and giving back to their alma mater and the Presbyterian Church, also sharing themes related to religion, Taiwan's history and culture.

DMA in Choral Conducting, University of South Carolina; Dual MM in Choral Conducting and Piano performance, Mississippi College. Dr. Li’s professional fields span vocals and instrument, and has accumulated considerable performance and teaching experience.
