VOCE ARMONICA is a mixed choir founded in October 2007 mainly by the members with chorus experiences in their junior and senior high school in Chiba Prefecture. The name means “harmonious voice” in Italian. The choir now consists of approx. 40 members from Chiba Prefecture as well as other parts of Tokyo metropolitan area. Among the main activities are participating in choral competitions and holding regular concerts. The choir was awarded with six consecutive Gold Prize, in the mixed choir category in the division of college and university, company, and community choirs of JCA National Choral Competition, along with Niigata Prefecture Governer’s Prize (the second place in the mixed choir category, 2023) and Kawai Encouragement Prize (2017). The choir was also awarded with the Gold Prize in the mixed chorus division of the Tokyo International Chorus Competition (2019).

黒川 和伸

Kurokawa Kazunobu

Kazunobu Kurokawa, a choral conductor, studied with B.A. in vocal music and M.A. with music education in Tokyo University of the Arts. He led VOCE ARMONICA with six consecutive Gold Prize in JCA National Choral Competition along with Kawai Encouragement Prize (2017), and led Female Ensemble Dolce with Himawari Prize in JCA Mothers' Chorus Festival. He is also a lecturer of Showa University of Music(chorus and choral direction), a member of Japan Choral Directors Association and of the Japan Association of Research in Singing, a board member of the Chiba Choral Association, and chief director of Matsudo Choral Federation.
